Choc-Chip Lactation Cookies
Ingredients
1 ½ cups rolled oats ¾ cup whole ground flax seed 3 tbsp. brewer’s yeast ½ cup unsweetened apple sauce 1/3 cup pure maple syrup ¼ cup light oil 1 small egg 1 tsp. vanilla extract ½ tsp. baking soda ½ tsp. ground cinnamon ½ cup chocolate chips Method Preheat the oven to 180C. In a food processor or using a hand blender, combine the apple sauce, maple syrup, oil, egg and vanilla extract until smooth. Stir in the rolled oats, flax seed, brewer’s yeast, baking soda and ground cinnamon until thoroughly combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. Drop by the spoonful onto greased baking trays. Bake for 12-14 minutes until lightly browned.Recipe makes 24 cookies. |
